Ashley Brailsford, PhD is the EFOD Grants Fellow aka The Grant Doula. She is an early childhood educator and nature enthusiast with extensive experience in teaching, professorship, curriculum development and leadership in education. She launched Unearthing Joy to guide the development of culturally-centered, nature-based programming for families, community groups and organizations that center the stories and contributions or indigenous, Black and other people of the global majority. She works with Fresh Future Farm and Brooklyn Heights Community Garden and Urban Farm to support their fund development initiatives and her family land in South Carolina, Brailsford Gardens & Retreat.
