Christa is Principal with DAISA Enterprises, leading several of the firm’s projects with national philanthropic foundations and strategy execution. Prior to DAISA, Christa’s extensive work in health and philanthropy includes advising elected officials, designing and evaluating food access strategies, and leading coalition and policy advocacy to establish the MA Food Policy Council and statewide food plan.
As Executive Director of the Center for Nonviolent Solutions, Christa led strategies in violence prevention, youth development, and restorative justice. She has taught graduate courses in mediation and conflict transformation at Syracuse University, Assumption College, and Clark University. Christa co-founded two nonprofit organizations for equity and systems change.
She earned a national, professional certificate in Creative Placemaking (leading community-engaged design for equitable community development through arts and culture), and incorporates these principles in her consulting and leadership. After earning a BA in Nonviolent Conflict & Change at Syracuse University she proudly served in AmeriCorps working with the incarcerated population. Christa earned a MPPA on a competitive, full fellowship in Food Science Policy at UMass Amherst and was awarded 2 food systems fellowships in Washington DC: International Food Information Council and Scientific Integrity Fellow. Christa’s life passion remains working for justice and equity, as well as a joyful dose of artistic expression and outdoor adventures.
