Rochelle Bellin
Food Systems Specialist
(she, her, hers)
As Research Assistant of DAISA, Rochelle supports a number of projects through research, graphic design and project management. Rochelle’s concurrent work as Marketing and Programs Manager at Just Roots, a food access nonprofit in Greenfield Massachusetts, provides her with relevant knowledge of the current realities and challenges faced by social enterprises focused on sustainable food and health. Previously, Rochelle spent five years working for and managing farming operations in Argentina, California, Virginia and Massachusetts. Working almost exclusively with young, emerging operations, Rochelle wore many hats from managing soil health and production budgets to securing markets and collaborating with local food hubs. During this time she gained a strong understanding of the production through distribution chain of sustainable, local food. With an understanding of the key players, opportunities, and challenges that organizations and social enterprises with a mission of improving food access face, Rochelle’s skills lie in a solid sense of real-world feasibility, practical research, and effective strategic and project-oriented planning and marketing.
Rochelle also brings a background in business development and marketing from previous work in the music industry, where she built partnerships and facilitated collaborations between artists, brands and the general public to collectively achieve their unique goals.
