Bloom (previously eKutir) had been keen to understand the food system and we were fortunate to be introduced to Daniel Ross, who has been instrumental in supporting our work on two key projects; a joint collaborative pilot project (co-sponsored by Gates Foundation and Ministry of Science and Technology, India) for introducing nutrition incentive programs in Odisha, India, and our “VeggieKart” farmers market initiative.
Daniel has allowed us to optimize the value chain of our “VeggieKart” initiative by introducing novel elements, and assisting in building up a sustainable business for long-term growth. With our nutrition incentive program he has created simple yet disruptive ways to introduce new food programs that trickle back the impact to the smallholder farmers. Daniel brings to the table a plethora of knowledge and experience around creating diverse business opportunities and seeding new innovative projects using food as a precursor to public and private health development.
